All About Coolie No.1

The upcoming remake of 1995 super-hit film Coolie No.1 has got everyone’s attention.
This 2020 movie which portrays Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan in lead roles will hit the theatres by May 1.

The original version had a star-studded ensemble of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in leading roles. The beauty of this upcoming movie is that both the original and remake versions are directed by David Dhawan. Produced by VashuBhagnani, this film is expected to serve laughing bombs to its audience!
The first poster for the movie was released on 12th August 2019 on Sara Ali Khan’s birthday. It is announced that the original track in the original Hindi movie, “Main Toh Raste Se JaaRahaTha” will be featured in the film. Along with this, “Husn Hai Suhana” will also be a part of the remake. Both these songs were composed by Anand-Milind and written by Sameer.

The original film’s plot is all about the rivalry between a matchmaker and a father who hopes to wed off both his daughters to rich men. This rivalry grows and a series of comic events follow. The film was made with a budget of Rs. 3.5 crore and broke the box office with a record of Rs. 23 crores. 
The original version of the movie is a very well-known cult classic that people relate to even this day. This film helped Govinda bag the Star Screen Award Special Jury Award for being the “Actor of the decade”. The film also won several accolades and recognition. The movie’s soundtrack is an evergreen classic that made its way to being the bestselling soundtrack of the year 1995.

The production for Coolie No.1 (2020) began in August 2019 in Bangkok. Another specialty of this movie is that the remake is coming out in theaters exactly 25 years after the original came out. With that being said, the expectations are high for this film and the fans are sure that this will do justice to the original film.
