Black Widow is a popular, fictional super hero character from Marvel Comics. Slated to be released on May1, 2020 in the United States of America, Black Widow is produced by Marvel Studios and directed by Cate Shortland.
The film has Scarlet Johansson playing the protagonist Natasha Romanoff /Black Widow along with David Harbour as Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov, Florence Pugh as fellow Yelena Belova /Black Widow, William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff another Black Widow.

Some interesting facts about the upcoming movie, Black Widow are:
  • The period of the movie is set somewhere after Captain America : Civil War that was released in 2016
  • It is also the first movie of Stan Lee as Executive Producer.
  • The movie will see Scarlett Johansson playing the character of Black Widow/ Natasha Romanoff for a record ninth time.
  • Scarlett Johansson has called Logan (2017), The Fugitive (1993), and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) as major influencers.
  • The movie is releasing a decade after the character Black Widow was introduced in the movie Iron Man 2(2010).
  • Other female actors who were considered to play the role of Yelena Belova include Dar Zuzovsky, Saoirse Ronan, Alice Englert, and Emma Watson with Florence Pugh being cast for the role.
  • The movie is the 24th presentation from Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • Director of the movie Hellboy (2019) also showed his interest to direct this movie but was not considered as the production was looking for a female director.
  • Before O-T Fagbenle was finalized to play the villain in the movie, Andre Holland was a strong contender for the role.
  • This movie is the third comic book to be turned into a movie after Hellboy in 2019 and Suicide squad in 2016 that stars David harbor.
  • Playing contrary roles of sorts, David harbor is cast as Jim Hopper in the movie Strange Things (2016) where he is the kidnapper of Alexei, a Russian scientist. While in the movie Black Windoe he plays Alexei himself.

Dabangg 3 Packs a Punch for Salman Fans
