Tamil Films of 2017 That You Should Definitely Watch

Tamil films have been doing exceptionally well at the box-office for quite some years now. From action flicks to family dramas to comedies, Kollywood has experiment with most genres successfully. This year Tamil film industry has produced some super hit films and here is a list of films that you should definitely watch.
Kavan
The film starring Vijay Sethupathi hit the big screen on 31st March, 2017. The film also stars Madonna Sebastian, Akashdeep Saigal and others. This thriller needs to be watched because it makes you aware of the other side of media that we all are not aware of. This south Indian movie gives you a great social message. Kavan is directed by K.V. Anand who also has hit movies like Ko (2011) and Ayan (2009) to his credit. Actor Vijay Sethupathi has had a fantastic 2016 with amazing movies like Sethupathi, Dharma Durai and he has started the year 2017 with a bang!
Pa.Paandi
The multi-talented artist Dhanush made his directorial debut with the movie Pa.Paandi which was earlier titled Power Paandi. The director made a special appearance in this family entertainer which will surely touch you emotionally. The film stars Raj Kiran, Revathi, Prasanna and Chaaya Singh. Madonna Sebastian in a special appearance makes her presence felt. The music department was handled beautifully by Sean Roland. Dhanush excels in his first attempt at making a heartwarming film that deserves to be on the list of south Indian films 2017 that should be definitely watched.
Bogan
Released on 2nd February, 2017, Bogan stars Hansika Motwani, Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy. Directed by Lakshmanan of Romeo Juliet (2015) fame, Bogan is an actor-centric film. Jayam Ravi plays the role of a cop and Arvind Swamy plays the role of a thug. The film is about what happens when this cop and the thug meet. Background score by D. Imman is simply amazing.
An out-an-out masala film, Bairavaa is directed and written by Bharathan. This film was released on Pongal as a treat to Ilayathalapathy Vijay's fans. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji and Y.G. Mahendran. This film is not to be missed by any action film fan at any cost.
Singam 3
The third installment of the super-hit franchise Singam released on 9th February, 2017. Suriya reprises his role as the fiery cop Durai Singam and with each film he gets better at portraying this role. Directed by Hari, this film also stars Thakur Anop Singh as the bad guy with a ripped body. Singam 3 is Suriya's show all the way and needs to be watched for it's power packed action scenes and an energetic performance by Suriya.
