Hey all you Salman Khan fans, the wait is finally over, for Dabangg3 is set to hit the big screen on 20 December. If the buzz is to be believed, the third edition in the franchise will feature Chulbul Pandey, the swashbuckling police inspector, as a Robin Hood type character taking on the baddies of the land mafia.
The plot of the Hindi movie is inspired by some real life developments in Madhya Pradesh where the film is shot. The antics and the thrills apart, fans will get to see how Chulbul Pandey came to be what he is. There is a then and now aspect interwoven into the script, which would add to the appeal of the character that the fans so enthusiastically lapped up in Dabangg1 and Dabangg 2.
The movie, directed by choreographer-actor-filmmaker Prabhudeva has South sensation Kichcha Sudeep act as a foil to the Pandey character with Sonakshi Sinha playing the female lead. The first Dabangg movie was directed by Abhinav Kashyap while Arbaaz Khan donned the mantle for Dabangg 2.
The movie will also launch producer, director, actor Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar who will play the female lead to the younger Salman. She also has a vital role in a flashback, according to the buzz. Mahesh Manjrekar, Arbaaz Khan, and Dimple Kapadia also play important roles in the film.
But the highlight of the movie is expected to be the face-off between Pandey and Balli Singh, the character palyed by Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep, who has won acclaim for roles in other regional language films as well.
