For movie fans in India, October has always been the high point of movie viewing. More precisely, it is the Diwali time, and most big banners wait to release their movies then to cash in on the festive fervour that also reflects in high footfall in movie theatres. A biopic is emerging from Johri, a village in Uttar Pradesh; the film finally delivers an inspiring message about women’s emancipation.  Ably enacted by Bhumi Pednekar and Tapsee Pannu, it narrates how two sisters-in-law Chandro and Prakashi Tomar break out of patriarchy dominated society to emerge international champion shooters.

If the buzz is to be believed, the third edition in the franchise will feature Chulbul Pandey, the swashbuckling police inspector, as a Robin Hood type character taking on the baddies of the land mafia.
